From royal palaces to hidden blue lakes and rocky rivers, there are incredible spots in and around Vadodara. However, long shoots require proper planning, a clear budget for entry fees, and an understanding of local rules.

1. Kamati Baug (Sayaji Baug) – The All-In-One Budget Spot

Don't underestimate this famous city garden! It is incredibly versatile for full-day romantic shoots.

• The Cost: A flat camera fee of around ₹2,000 grants you access to the entire garden without any interruption.

• The Frames: You get historic heritage structures, a large amphitheater, lush floral setups, and massive green trees. It is the perfect spot for close-up romantic portraits and timeless, filmy sequences.

2. Laxmi Vilas Palace – The Ultimate Royal Experience

If you want your pre-wedding story to look deeply grand, majestic, and aristocratic, the Palace is unmatched.

• The Cost: Photography charges range between ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 for a 2 to 3-hour slot.

• The Reality Check: Shooting inside the palace rooms is strictly prohibited; you are allowed to shoot only in the open sprawling areas and lawns around the exterior. Because it is expensive, we only recommend this if you are confident we can move quickly and capture your main royal frames within that 2-hour window.

3. Kirti Mandir – The Heritage Stone Vibe

Located right in the city, this stone cenotaph offers a massive, majestic royal temple aesthetic in the background.

• The Cost: Around ₹10,000 for a 2-hour photography slot.

• The Reality Check: Just like the Palace, shooting is restricted to the beautiful exterior stone walkways and outdoor areas.

4. Champaner & Pavagadh Surroundings – The Free Heritage Hack

Located about 50 km from Vadodara, this area is highly famous for its rustic, ancient stone architecture.

• The Reality Check: Official commercial photography inside the main protected Champaner heritage sites costs an astronomical ₹1,00,000 per day!

• The DivClick Hack: We don’t need to pay that. The surrounding areas outside the restricted sites are completely free and just as beautiful. We can shoot on the empty, winding roads with the heritage arches in the background, or visit Vada Talao (Lake), which offers a breathtaking view of the Pavagadh hills over the water.

5. Nagina Masjid (Near Champaner) – The Hidden Architectural Gem

This is a stunning, lesser-known heritage mosque hidden near Champaner that offers exquisite stone carvings and historic structures.

• The Advantage: There is zero crowd or public disturbance here. It is the perfect location to set up custom props (like a decorated teepee tent or a picnic layout) and comfortably spend an entire day shooting candid lifestyle moments and cinematic videos.

7. Mandan Lake & Umaid Bhawan Palace (Rajpipla) – The Dream Cinematic Tour

Located 90 km from Vadodara, Rajpipla makes for the ultimate full-day cinematic pre-wedding road trip.

• Half-Day at Umaid Bhawan Palace: We can book the heritage rooms and majestic architecture of this palace for roughly ₹12,000 to ₹16,000, giving you a highly private, premium indoor royal shoot.

• Half-Day at Mandan Lake: Afterward, we head to Mandan Lake. Surrounded by rolling mountains and filled with clear blue water, it is arguably the best location near Vadodara for sweeping drone shots and emotional, wide-angle cinematography against a stunning sunset.

DivClick Planning Tip for Full-Day Shoots: Out-of-city locations like Rasalpur and Rajpipla offer incredible visual variety, but they require a lot of travel. We highly recommend booking a comfortable, spacious car so you can rest between locations and change your outfits/makeup smoothly!
